Program Overview
The Hillsborough Community Services text messaging program is operated by Sunshine State Assistance Inc., doing business as Hillsborough Community Services.
By expressly opting in, you agree to receive text messages from Hillsborough Community Services at the mobile number you provide.
Messages may include community event announcements, food drives, giveaways, registration confirmations, pickup schedules, reminders,
and information about available community resources and services. Messages may be sent using automated technology.
Voluntary Consent
Consent to receive marketing text messages is voluntary and is not a condition of purchasing anything, receiving assistance, or participating in an event.
Providing your telephone number alone does not enroll you in marketing text messages. You must separately provide the appropriate consent.
Message Frequency and Charges
Message frequency varies based on your registrations, requests, and subscriptions.
Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier’s plan.
Contact your carrier with questions about charges.
How to Unsubscribe
Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe from the text messaging program. You may receive one final message confirming your unsubscribe request.
No further messages will be sent through the program unless you opt in again.
Unsubscribing from texts does not affect your eligibility for assistance or event participation.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.

Mobile Number Requirements
You must be the account holder or an authorized user of the mobile number you provide. If your number changes or you give it up, please unsubscribe or notify us so we can update our records.
